Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP) 2011-2012 Year

with the Texas Army National Guard and Army ROTC

The SMP option is an internship program that allows you to enhance your military management skills. We pay you to attend college while you serve part time in the guard just two days a month. You will gain valuable leadership experience along the way as you get started on your career. This is what we offer:

Freshman (Military Science I) with Basic/AIT Training Option

• Must contract ROTC. Rates vary due to time in grade and years of service.
• Federal Tuition Assistance is available at a maximum amount of $4500 annually.
• State tuition covers 24 credits hours plus fees annually.
• 1^st year on Active Duty as a 2LT w/o dependents after four years in the Guard = $50,010
